Tiivistelmä
The objective of this study was to examine a product control process with two different open-source ERP systems (BlueSeer and webERP) and conclude their feasibility for the process considering an example product. The study was carried out by exploring literature surrounding the topic, testing the functions of these systems by entering fictitious data as input and collecting remarks from the user’s point of view.
It was found, that BlueSeer would be feasible for the production control process in the given context, with its comprehensive features and the feasibility of webERP relies on its user-friendly layout and simplicity. Study had limitations on exploring the complete body of features within these systems and options regarding customization. Also, the incomplete nature of the data had an influence on the results.
The outcomes of the study could be used to give insight into the two systems and their feasibility for someone considering the usage of open-source ERP systems.
