The thesis is written to analyze investor behavior in the Indian stock market during the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 was a very dangerous virus that spread around the world and had an immense impact on the Indian stock market as well as the investors who are investing in it. Investors are critical for a stock market and its overall growth. COVID-19 emerged unexpectedly and put all the investors in the stock market into great apprehension and uncertainty. This thesis aims to understand the mindsets and behavioral characteristics of investors who were standing up front with their investments in the Indian stock market during the challenging times of the pandemic.
The qualitative research method was selected for this topic. One of its key components, a survey questionnaire, was used for collecting data for the research, and the questions included were related to investor behavior.
Through this research, different aspects of investor behavior were revealed and observed, which helped to understand this topic in a more extensive way. Overall, the results have helped to bring out the positive attitude of investor behavior toward the Indian stock market despite the impact of COVID-19. These results also show great conviction and strong will of investors in such a challenging time
