Tiivistelmä
This study aims to initiate the scaling process of Stage & Fest ry, a small, community-driven event organization. The objective of this study is to propose actionable event concepts that meet local cultural needs while considering the resources of the organization.
The theoretical section of this study covers topics of event management in general and in the context of Finland, key success factors within the industry, and customization, conceptualization, and scalability in small-scale events. The empirical section utilizes an action research approach and a mixed-methods technique using interviews and a questionnaire.
The findings and theoretical insights informed the development of the new event concepts which aim to broaden the audience of the case organization, while considering their financial and operational barriers. These final concepts stem from the combination of theory and collected data, both of which indicated that partnerships, affordable pricing, and targeted marketing would enhance the impact of the concepts.
Future studies could investigate the precise financial implications of scaling, explore the long-term outcomes of these event concepts, and assess additional factors such as organizational structure and marketing strategies to ensure long-lasting growth.
