This study focuses on the PCB assembly process and the different types of problems that may arise in it. The thesis aims to identify, diagnose, and resolve defects or issues that occur during PCB assembly. It helps to identify, fix, and prevent such issues from happening again, ensuring the production of high-quality, reliable PCBs that meet design specifications and function as intended.
Troubleshooting in the PCBA process was carried out using a systematic approach that included inspection techniques, process control, relevant standards, and root cause analysis to quickly detect and resolve defects on the PCB. Repairable issues in the PCBA process are those directly caused by assembly, soldering, or handling during manufacturing.
Effective troubleshooting in the PCBA process improves product quality and reliability. By identifying and addressing defects during assembly, manufacturers can prevent issues from reaching the final product, reducing the risk of failures. This results in fewer customer complaints and lower repair or replacement costs. Troubleshooting also uncovers root causes, allowing for long-term improvements in the manufacturing process.
