As firms expand across borders, they bring together employees from different cultures, each with their own set of work values, norms, and practices. Workplace culture then becomes a determining factor in the construction of team behavior, performance, and overall corporate success. Multinational corporations' top managers must control these cross-cultural differences judiciously so that management practices are aligned with business objectives as well as traditions.
While cultural adaptation has been studied extensively, there is still much to be understood about how organizations can promote a conciliatory work culture in areas of the world without compromising the integrity of native practices. This concern becomes even more critical in an increasingly globalized business environment where effective interaction between ethnically diverse groups of individuals must be maintained in order to continue to provide competitive advantage.
Additionally, the absence of official management involvement in cultural adaptation development can lead to low employee commitment and business performance. This study will explore these issues further and propose ways to facilitate organizations in developing culturally adaptive and inclusive environments
