Tiivistelmä
As organizations increasingly shifting from the traditional office based working environment to remote or hybrid forms of working, it has become essential to use and adopt technology or digital communication tools for continuity of productivity and collaboration. This research explores the factors influencing the adoption and use of communication technologies within virtual or hybrid teams, with a particular focus on international and cross functional contexts. This research discusses the management of international teams with technology, identifying opportunities and challenges faced by the teams.
A qualitative methodology was used that conducted semi structured interviews with ten professionals from different fields. Participants shared their experiences using digital tools, the challenges faced, strategies implemented to enhance communication and collaboration in teams. Thematic analysis revealed key insights, including the importance of successful technology adoption.
This paper finds that the teams with strong support systems, prior exposure of technology, and structured communication policies adapted more efficiently. Conversely, challenges such as inconsistent training, inadequate tool integration, cultural and language barriers hindered effectiveness. The study concludes that the successful use of digital communication tools depends on both technological readiness and social adaptability.
