In today’s fast paced world, logistics has become more than just the movement of goods. It has become the vital part of business as it ensures the smooth flow of operations and keep the customers happy. As technology continues to evolve, it is reshaping the way logistics works, making operations smarter faster, and more efficient. The purpose of this study was to examine how digital technologies help to improve logistics technologies. The study aimed to explore the impact of logistics technologies such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), Internet of Things (IoT) and, robotics on logistics operations and performance. Particular focus was placed on time-saving strategies, cost-effectiveness and, operational enhancements.
The study adopts a mixed – methodology approach. Primary data was collected from a survey with chain managers and an interview was conducted with an industry expert. Secondary data was obtained through academic literature and studies from internet sources.
The findings revealed that SMEs often face challenges such as financial limitations, lack of technical expertise and resistance to change while implementing the digital technologies.
The study recommends that SMEs and logistics companies have a phased implementation of digital technologies into tier systems. Proper training will ensure smooth integration. It is also recommended that future studies focus on the long-term impact of emerging technologies and evaluate their role in creating sustainable output.
