This thesis focuses on the research and development of financial communication for non-finan-cial professionals in a manager role in the case organization operating in the consultancy and engineering industry.
The theoretical framework consists of various communication theories, focusing on effective and strategic internal communication, project communication, financial management and knowledge management.
The research method is quantitative research for communication. The thesis was conducted between September 2024 and May 2025. The data was collected with an anonymous survey sent to the participants by e-mail in January 2025.
The objective of this thesis is to investigate how the company is conducting financial communication today and what are the focus areas the company needs to improve in financial communication so that the people who contribute to the end financial result, i.e. all the employees, understand how their actions or non-actions impact on the financial success and profitability of the company.
The research shows that there is financial communication in place in the case organization, but there are development areas to pay attention to make the financial communication more effective.
The thesis also includes the recommendations for development and future research.
