Tiivistelmä
The exhibition industry has long relied on traditional construction methods for stand structures, often resulting in material waste, high carbon footprints, and limited reusability. As sustainability becomes a key concern in design and manufacturing, by leveraging the advantages of AM, such as reduced material waste, design flexibility, and the potential for using recycled or biodegradable materials, this thesis explores the feasibility of using 3D printing and additive manufacturing (AM) to create environmentally friendly exhibition stand structures.
The thesis evaluates key factors including material selection, structural integrity, cost efficiency, and environmental impact and so on, comparing 3D-printed solutions with traditional stand construction.
The result turns out to be that 3D printing and additive manufacturing offer significant advantages for sustainable exhibition stand design: less waste, lower emissions, creative freedom and reuse. As technology advances, these methods will play a central role in creating future environmentally friendly exhibitions. So, it is worthy for the company to invest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing for eco-friendly exhibition stand structures.
