This study mainly explores the impact of digital technology on airport passenger flow, customer safety, security, and privacy in the context of the expansion of commercial aviation and airport scale, as well as how to reduce concerns related to customer safety, security, and privacy and provide constraints to improve the reliability of airport security inspection systems. The study focuses on the security inspection systems of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport's T2 and T3 terminals.
This paper constructs a theoretical framework based on the impact of digital technology on airport passenger flow and data security, and makes a hypothesis: The application of digital technology in the airport security inspection system is more beneficial than detrimental, and its application will not reduce airport passenger flow. The research question is how to optimize the application of digital technology in the security inspection system of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport. The research period was April 28, 2025. The research population consists of domestic passengers who have used the security check system of Jiangbei Airport. The research methods mainly adopted qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Data was mainly collected through passenger questionnaires. The main analysis tools were SPSS and deepseek. Among them, single-choice question analysis, multiple-choice question classification analysis, AHP method and the analysis method combined with PCA and FA were mainly used. Finally, it was determined to study the impact of digital technology in it and the situation of future airport passenger flow.
First, the study introduces domestic and international research literature on the application of digital technology in airport security inspection systems and summarizes the impacts that digital technology application will bring to airport security inspection systems.
Secondly, a questionnaire survey and data analysis are conducted on the current status of digital technology application in the security inspection facilities and systems of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport and its T2 and T3 terminals. Section 3 summarizes the impact of digital technology on the security inspection system of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport and proposes improvement strategies for the airport's security inspection system.
