Tiivistelmä
This thesis explores the critical role of feedback in event management, examining its significance in improving the overall quality of events, enhancing participant satisfaction, and ensuring that the expectations of stakeholders are met. In the fast-paced and detail-oriented field of event planning, feedback is essential for continuous improvement, and this study delves into how different types of feedback can be used to achieve these goals. The primary aim of this research was to investigate the different types of feedback employed in event management, analyze the main methods used for collecting feedback, and understand how this information influences the success and effectiveness of events. The study focused specially on four feedback collection methods: surveys, interviews, focus group and digital platforms.

The theoretical framework for this thesis was constructed based on existing literature and research, which highlighted the various types of feedback, methods for gathering feedback, and how feedback is utilized during different stages of event planning and execution. By building upon the theoretical foundations, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the significance of feedback in shaping event outcomes. The research was conducted between 2023 and 2025, employing a qualitative approach that combined both theoretical analysis and practical insights. The approach allowed for a deep exploration of the subject matter and contributed to a more nuanced understanding of the impact of feedback in event management.

The results of the study revealed that feedback plays a crucial and ongoing role in all stages of an event: planning, execution, and post-event analysis. Effective feedback collection was found to be most successful when clear, accessible feedback forms were utilized, proper timing was considered to ensure relevant responses, and incentives were offered to encourage higher participation rates. Additionally, the study highlighted the importance of the feedback process in fostering stronger engagement with stakeholders and improving the overall participant experience. The findings suggest that a well-structured and strategically implemented feedback process significantly contributes to the enhancement of event quality, boosts participant satisfaction, and strengthens stakeholder relationships, ultimately leading to the overall success of events.
