This thesis investigates the vibration exposure of high-voltage lithium batteries in the Valtra N154e prototype hybrid tractor, developed by the Mechanical Engineering department of Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The prototype tractor has been converted into a hybrid system, where the lithium batteries serve as power source. This study aims to investigate vibration levels on the batteries under different operating conditions and compile a report based on the collected data which can be used in battery development work.
This research provides valuable insight for both educational institutions and manufacturers because no previous public studies have been conducted on the vibration performance of high-voltage components in tractors. The measurements were carried out using data loggers and triaxial accelerometers and the collected data was analysed using a data analysis tool. The project was conducted in collaboration with U.A.S Joanneum GmbH.
