Tiivistelmä
This thesis address the E-Kart delivery delay issue at its Bishrampur hub due to increased complaints and inefficiency. The aim of this study is to determine the causes for the delay and offer low-cost, workable solutions. A Current State Analysis (CSA) has been conducted through interviews with the Last-Mile Area Manager, Hub Manager and Team Leader. There were inconsistencies in the delivery timelines. The peak season load was high. The intermediate hub had delays. Additionally, performance of delivery agents were not monitored.
Based on the results obtained and relevant literature, a first proposal for improvement was developed. The report had four recommendations which included, performance dashboard, geo-tagged images for failed delivery and automatic scheduling tools. These recommendations were then validated by the stakeholders.
