Tiivistelmä
The main goal of this thesis is to investigate how artificial intelligence with the use of Microsoft Copilot can be leveraged to enhance the daily operations of the Upgrades Management Office team.

The research methods used are literature review as the theory part in the thesis and semi-structured interviews as the application or empirical research part. This is a single case study, that is, one company was selected to conduct the research with.

The literature review part starts with a general research about the role of artificial intelligence in project management. Then, specific frameworks by technology leaders in the market were presented, followed by real success stories with companies who adopted these tools. Finally, the literature review was concluded by relevant research about the future trends in artificial intelligence.

Within the research partner, five roles represented by seven participants were selected as research units to form the basis from which primary qualitative data was derived. Findings were analyzed to determine exactly which use cases can be derived from each role and what prompt recommendations can follow from them. The analysis showed that there were use cases common to all the roles, use cases that are specific to each role, as well as use cases that can be automated but simply not with the current tool used within the company.

The findings from the literature review and empirical research were not contradictory. However, there is a need for further experimentation with recommended prompts for each role. As future work, it is also possible to extend the research to other roles in the same department.
