Tiivistelmä
Agile methodologies are now recognized as a transformative force in software engineering and project management, it provides a flexible and collaborative approach to completing complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. This research explores the impact of agile methodologies in software project management, how agile frameworks contribute to improving project outcomes, and the challenges that software organizations or teams face when adopting agile methodologies.

The study used a quantitative survey to assess the benefits and challenges of agile through the feedback of various professionals working with agile methodologies in the software industry. The main objectives of this survey are to evaluate the impact of agile methodologies on meeting deadlines, increasing team collaboration, stakeholder satisfaction, and identifying preferred frameworks. Also, the survey included feedback on challenges faced while implementing agile methodologies, such as lack of training, cultural change, and difficulty scaling to large teams. In addition, to find out which agile frameworks are most commonly used in software project management and to explore the reasons behind their selection.

The findings from this study indicate that agile methodologies improve team collaboration, productivity, customer satisfaction, and delivery for software project management. Scrum emerged as the most widely used agile framework. Other popular frameworks such as Kanban, SAFe, XP, and Less also emerging, but these frameworks are used in specific con texts. Common challenges in adopting agile frameworks include lack of experience, inadequate training, and difficulty scaling agile practices. While agile is widely used method, its success depends on team capability, organizational support, and selection of an appropriate frame work. It is essential to adapt agile practices to the needs of the team and build a continuous learning culture for long term benefits.
