Tiivistelmä
The objective of this thesis was to reflect and analyse the author’s learnings during their day to day work at an augmented reality automotive company. This thesis was based on the authors weekly diary and aim to analyse and reflect on the challenges the author faced during the reporting period with the support of relevant literature. The thesis begin with the author’s adaptation to a new role within the company. This included collaborating with new team members and learning about the development of one the core products in the company, which is a lightweight desktop application that can develop augmented reality applications for automotives in the process of expanding to support other platforms and technologies other than automotives.
The focus of the thesis was to follow the author’s development to the new technologies and team and reflect on how the author could improve. This was done by reflecting on the tasks, achievements and challenges that the author faced by the help of relevant theory. The diary details the daily tasks of the author which include developing new features, doing bug fixes, participating in meetings and day to day collaboration with team members.
The eight week diary based thesis provided the author with valuable tools to enhance collaboration, strengthen technical competences and effectively adapt to new challenges. The outcome of the thesis enhanced the authors personal and professional skills in their work.
