The purpose of this thesis is to build a comprehensive business model for a sustainability and community oriented multifaceted business case. The research is approached through the principles of constructive research, and includes literature review of business models and modelling, leadership, and strategising in establishment of a theoretical framework. In addition, a practical framework is built for practical strategy purposes on the European Green Deal associated grant financing, and preceding cases of incubator and/or ecological community initiatives. The study also involves light financial and scenario modelling, and the compilation of the business model of the case business.
The resulting case model offers an example of a more comprehensively conducted business modelling, something that may still be rare in academic research. The case model fills multiple business modelling frameworks, and includes a leadership, a narrative, and a strategy component, however lacks in examination of the component of culture and of the external context. The provided solution is theory grounded and possesses a coherent and synergistic narrative. Based on the narrative, the solution also has potential for wider positive societal impact.
