Tiivistelmä
The A-Clinic Foundation offers various of substance use assessment tools, developed for use within the foundation's own private systems and are not connected to Finland’s national healthcare platform Kanta. The long-term plan is to integrate these tools and their data into the national Omakanta system through Kanta’s Personal Health Record (PHR) using HL7 FHIR standards and Finnish national specifications.
The research method selected for thesis was literature review. This approach allowed to collect existing studies and standards of integration self -assessment data into national systems to help in providing the best practices. The results of the thesis showed that integration of the A-Clinic Foundation’s self-help tools into the Kanta personal healthcare record is technically achievable using existing HL7 FHIR based standards.
This thesis provided the A-Clinic Foundation with a comprehensive, centralized resource that brings together all relevant technical requirements, integration procedures, and national specifications into a single, accessible document. The thesis aims to simplify the initial technical steps to integrate and support the Foundation in efficiently aligning with compliance standards of Finland’s national healthcare platform Kanta.
