Tiivistelmä
This thesis aims to support launching a Learning community in GA4 in the context of HEI. The rapid digitalization of businesses has created a demand for data-driven tools like Google Analytics. However, many graduates lack practical experience in Google Analytics, which creates a gap their skills and industry needs.

This study employed an applied action research strategy and qualitative methods. The theoretical framework of the study was based on the topics of building a learning community in the context of higher education, curriculum development for learner-centered learning community, and selection and evaluation materials for self-learning community in Google Analytics 4.

Data for the development part was collected in three rounds: first, the current state analysis was conducted by reviewing existing learning resources including Google Skillshop, MeasureSchool YouTube tutorials, and Coursera. Second, stakeholder input on learning community, curriculum development, and material selection was gathered through co-creation sessions with two stakeholders. Third, validation session with the stakeholders refined the initial proposal with three stakeholders.

The outcome integrates theory, based on the Community of Practice (CoP) model, and practical needs to launch a learning community, and offers materials to guide it and curriculum. The outcome is a curriculum and materials for the Google Analytics Learning community in Moodle, which provides students with selected resources and support to gain Google Analytics4 certification and practical skills in GA4 needed for today’s workforce.
