This thesis addresses the challenge of manual verification and documentation of web based control system interfaces used in industrial processes. This involves a series of steps where the engineer must repeatedly interact with the interface views, take screenshots of the interfaces, and generate the documentation.
The objective of this thesis is to design and implement a solution that enables the automation of the interface verification and documentation processes. This solution was implemented using a browser based automation technique and tested by executing the solution repeatedly and validating it in a controlled environment that simulates the typical usage scenarios.
The results show that the automation reduces the manual effort and time consumption while improving the consistency of the generated documentation. The solution developed in this thesis serves as a basis for further enhancements in the automation of the interface verification process.
