Opinnäytetyö osoitti tekijän kykyä havaita ja arvioida alan kehittämiskohteita, sekä esittää niihin ratkaisuehdotuksia The purpose of this thesis was to follow the development of an accounting trainee in an accounting office environment by carrying out tasks in different areas of accounting.
The thesis consists of four sections: Introduction, Current Situation, Journal Reporting and Summary and Reflection. In the Current Situation section, the competence of the author is reviewed. For the Journal Reporting section, the basic information about the company and the purpose of the thesis are analyzed. Journal Reporting consists of daily journal entries for a period of ten weeks, each week the work reviews a different topic using written and electronic sources. The topics that are used for weekly analyses are the balance sheet, income statement, deductible expenses, financial year, induction, the positive effects of teleworking, financial statements, money laundering law, well-being and reflection and a reflection on the question of whether accounting is for me. The topics have been selected during each week based on the work assignments or other current topics during that period.
The commissioner has found the thesis useful for the development of the company’s operations. The thesis has shown the author’s ability to detect and evaluate the development targets in the field and to present solutions to them.
