The objective of this thesis was to create a digital twin for VDI 2206 development model. The work was commissioned by HFTM, Höhere Fachoschule Technik Mittelland.
First, Requirements and Functional model are created using Active Workspace. Then logical model is directly created in NX to the product model. Then, requirements and functional model are searched and linked to the CAD model. Next, architectural model is created in AWS. Lastly, a project file is linked from TIA-portal to the NX file and to Teamcenter.
The thesis had few problems, which were solved by either downloading missing files or changing settings in the project file. In the end, the thesis was successful at creating the working digital model based on VDI 2206 development model.
