The objective of this thesis is to find out the ranking and success of Elisa Kuopio H-talo as one of the forty-nine shops in Finland and twelve corresponding shops in eastern Finland in years 2019 and 2020.
The research is based on the sales data from Elisa in those two years. The figures describe the success and the ranking of Elisa shop Kuopio.
The thesis was executed as a quantitative and qualitative research based on figures from Elisa reports and author’s own experiences and remarks at his two years working time at Elisa. This is also the reason why it is not public. After examining the basic theories related to psychology of selling and marketing mix, was discovered the toolkit of the sales manager. With these tools the sales manager can affect the success of the shop and improve the efficiency of the store as well in Kuopio as in any other corresponding shop.
The outcome of the research shows that the there are three main ways to improve the competitiveness of Elisa shop Kuopio. They are the tools that the shop manager can use with his salespersons. Motivation with several ways including training and rewarding can be very efficient. There is also an umbrella named work-place atmosphere which contains many factors effecting the success of the shop.
