Tiivistelmä
The main objective of this bachelor’s thesis was to develop content for a study unit that is offered on the Canvas learning management system. The study unit is a complementary introduction course to content management systems. This course focuses on web development with Drupal. The project was commissioned by Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
The project research was carried out using qualitative research methods, including an interview with the commissioner to understand the project objectives and a literature review of selected online learning methods to support decisions made for the development task.
The thesis project consists of developing course content and documenting the process. Responsibilities included creating content for modules 0-3 on Canvas. These modules cover orientation, introduction, Drupal history, installation, architecture, and web design.
The outcome of the thesis will help the customer to improve course material. To maintain a high standard of content and support throughout the study unit, the intention was to use the modules created by the author as a framework for subsequent modules and study units.
