The purpose of this thesis was to research the current container export forwarding process in the case company Bolloré Logistics Finland and see how it could be improved. Bolloré Finland is a relatively new business and it serves customer in both ocean and air shipments. The need for process improvement was known and for the purpose of this thesis, the subject was limited to container export forwarding.
The first step was to create a basic understanding of the subject and then a more thorough theoretical background on forwarding and processes, where the current process was also introduced. The research was done as qualitative research through interviewing Bolloré Logistics Finland employees who had knowledge on the subject.
Based on the interview answers, an improved process was introduced. In this process description, waste was minimalized to improve operational efficiency, which would also allow to better meet and exceed customer expectations.
