This thesis discusses the effect of sanctions. After February 24, 2022, when Russian
troops invaded the territory of Ukraine, Western countries imposed a record number
of sanctions on Russia. The thesis was chosen because of its topicality. The research
work examines the effect of sanctions on the Russian company Major Express, which
operates in the express delivery market. Major Express provides services for fast delivery of mail and cargo throughout Russia and to neighboring countries.
The research examined the effect of sanctions on the client company. The research
method was interview. 14 regional managers from various regions were interviewed.
The questions of the study were divided into 4 categories: the effect of sanctions on
customer behavior, the effect of sanctions on technology, the effect of sanctions on
pricing policy and the effect of sanctions on specific aspects of the company.
The research concluded that the sanctions had both a negative and a positive impact
on the company. The sanctions have caused a number of problems for the company
and have become a strong motivation for development and search for new opportunities. This study can be used as an example of how companies can cope with sanctions
as it reveals how sanctions impact company operations.
