The purpose of this thesis was to find a reason to why many companies choose to outsource certain tasks. Furthermore, wanting to find out if it is possible to develop found benefits. Interviews were conducted with the help of the employee leasing company Barona and two of its clients.
To understand the status quo of research about outsourcing, different sources were analyzed, and the most decisive elements summarized. From this framework out, further research was conducted to find out more and to complement the current state of knowledge. Firstly, secondary desk research on various crucial sources was conducted to lay a groundwork and to understand the topic. The sources from which the theory of this thesis was gotten were published books and statistics.
Once having understood all crucial factors about outsourcing, the author went on and conducted qualitative interviews with different stakeholders. The findings helped to develop this topic further and close some gaps. The outcome of this research is a complemented list of advantages and disadvantages and new sights on the topic from an employee’s view.
