The Non-Fungible Token (NFT) has been a heated topic since large projects involving NFT appeared on mass media. Traditional methods of copyright protection have existed for a rather long time, but as they are associated with certain imperfections and flaws, NFT technology has the possibility to improve and solve the is-sues of the traditional methods. Thus, a comprehensive table was formed to compare the two methods in different aspects and analyse how one method can benefit the other.
The methodology used for the research was conducting in-depth interviews with experts and professionals who are knowledgeable in both copyright and NFT. Qualitative research method was chosen for the study. Literature on copyright, ownership rights and NFT were reviewed in order to deepen the understanding of the topic.
The outcome of this thesis is a comparative table where traditional artworks are compared to NFT in different aspects. The thesis can be used as a guidance on how modern technologies can help in developing and improving copyright protection. Further research can be conducted on the topic of future use of NFT in ownership and property rights protection.
