Tiivistelmä
The objective of this project is to solve the client’s needs by designing a simple and efficient solution to improve the information visibility for the client's cybersecurity management portal. The client is a Finnish cybersecurity and privacy company which provides cloud-based business-to-business (B2B) cybersecurity solutions and services to its customers.

This project's objective required the role of a product designer, which means that in practice, the author acted as the product designer for the client company, which meant being a bridge between the development team and the product owner, using a user-centered design approach to prioritize the needs and perspectives of the end user, while simultaneously solving the client’s problem.

To achieve this goal, the service design (SD) methodology was used, which defines the rules and methods to work with. More specifically, the Double Diamond and 4 D’s were identified as the most suitable method to follow, which means the design process followed 4 distinct stages: Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver. The essence of User-Centered Design (UCD) served as guideline throughout this process, meaning that at the core of all decisions the human/user was kept in mind in a holistic way. In practice these methodologies were delivered following the agile incremental-iterative approach, including prototyping.

The thesis objective was obtained through a systematic effort of following the outlined approach to solve the problem. The project deliverables, consisting of 1) a Minimum Viable Product design, 2) a design brief, and 3) a full solution Figma prototype were provided within the set timeframe and accepted and implemented by the client. As such, the project can be considered successful.
