Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön aiheena on pikakäyttöohjeiden suunnittelu ja toteutus Oulun seudun ammattikorkeakoulun liiketalouden yksikössä käyttöönotettavalle Turnitin-ohjelmistolle. Ohjelmiston tarkoitus on tunnistaa ja ehkäistä plagiointia. Pikakäyttöohjeet laadittiin oppilaiden käyttöön ja sen avulla heidän tulisi osata aloittaa ohjelman käyttäminen ilman ongelmia.
Työn tietoperustaksi valikoitui plagiarismi, viittaustekniikka ja käyttöohjeen laatiminen. Plagiarismia on tutkittu lähinnä koulumaailman näkökulmasta ja työssä on koottu syitä plagioinnin yleistymiseen sekä keinoja puuttua siihen. Käyttöohjeen laatimis –osiossa on pyritty käymään läpi eri vaiheet suunnittelusta toteutukseen ja tuomaan esille standardoidut käytänteet käyttöohjeen laatimisessa. Viittaustekniikasta on tuotu esille sen käytön hallitsemisen tärkeys akateemisessa ympäristössä. The purpose of this thesis was to create instructions for a plagiarism detection and prevention software that is going to be deployed in Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The instructions were made for students use and the meaning was that with the help of these instructions they could start using the software easily.
In theory base of the thesis I write about plagiarism, referencing styles and about the process of creating instructions. Plagiarism is mainly studied from the view of school world and I have listed some reasons why plagiarism is becoming more common and how to prevent it. In the section about referencing styles I write about the importance of knowing how to reference accordingly and why it is so important to reference and give credit to the authors. Finally the section about creating instruction covers the basics of planning and implementation of instructions.
Työn tietoperustaksi valikoitui plagiarismi, viittaustekniikka ja käyttöohjeen laatiminen. Plagiarismia on tutkittu lähinnä koulumaailman näkökulmasta ja työssä on koottu syitä plagioinnin yleistymiseen sekä keinoja puuttua siihen. Käyttöohjeen laatimis –osiossa on pyritty käymään läpi eri vaiheet suunnittelusta toteutukseen ja tuomaan esille standardoidut käytänteet käyttöohjeen laatimisessa.
