Tiivistelmä
This thesis is self-commissioned and is performed in Scania CV AB. The main objective of this study is to evolve and advise Scania industrial engineering on how to set up and sustain the prototype building process that will align with Scania's goal of achieving the transition to sustainable manufacturing.
The work was done by examining the requirements for building prototypes in the high voltage cables and comparing it with the serial production way of working. To reach this goal, the thesis also considers quality tools. an in-depth literature review is performed on various quality tools that help reach the SES (Scania ergonomic standards).
The outcome will be a detailed process flow explaining what steps are to be followed and decision points that need to be addressed. The process flow is derived considering LEAN tools which in turn act as a backbone of this thesis work.
