Toimintolaskentamallin luominen kohdeyritykseen

Abstract

Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisena opinnäytetyönä. Tavoitteena oli kehittää kohdeyritykselle tuotekohtainen kannattavuuslaskentamalli. Kohdeyrityksenä oli pienyritys, jonka ainoana työntekijänä työskentelee yrittäjä itse. Laskentamallin tavoitteena oli hakea vastauksia eri tuotteiden kannattavuuksille. Mallin avulla yrittäjä voi laskea jatkossa itse tuotteidensa kannattavuuksia ja tarvittaessa miettiä hintapolitiikkaa uudelleen. Työn laskentamenetelmänä käytettiin toimintolaskentaa. Kohdeyrityksenä työssä oli oululainen lastenvaatteita valmistava yritys, joka harjoittaa toimintaansa verkkokauppana. Työ oli erittäin tarpeellinen yrittäjälle, koska hänellä ei itsellään ollut resursseja tällaisen laskelman tekemiseen. Yrittäjä voi työn pohjalta miettiä myös tuotevalikoimansa laajentamista. Työn tietoperusta koostui kirjallisuudesta ja artikkeleista. Tietoperustassa käsiteltiin laajasti toimintolaskentaa, sekä kustannuslaskentaa hieman suppeammin. Laskentamallimenetelmänä käytettiin toimintolaskentaa, jonka avulla kustannukset voidaan kohdistaa aiheuttamisperiaatteen mukaan laskentakohteille. Toiminnot määriteltiin yhdessä toimeksiantajan kanssa ja resurssit määriteltiin toimintojen pohjalta. Kohdistimina käytettiin toiminnoille kuluvia aikoja. Toimintolaskentamalli rakennettiin Excel-taulukkolaskentaohjelmaan ja malli annettiin yrittäjän käyttöön. Tämän laskentamallin toimivaksi saamiseksi täytyy yrittäjän selvittää vielä tarkemmin omaa ajankäyttöään eri toiminnoille, jotta päästäisiin tarkempiin tuloksiin.

The thesis was realized as an operational thesis. The goal of the thesis was to develop a product-specific profitability calculation model for the target company. The target company was a small business, with the entrepreneur as its sole employee. The goal of the calculation model was to seek answers for questions on the profitability of different products. With the aid of the calculation model the entrepreneur will be able to independently calculate the profitability of the company's products and reassess its pricing policy when necessary. The calculation method used in the thesis was activity-based cost accounting. The target company of the thesis was an Oulu-based business that manufactures children's clothing and sells them via its online shop. The creation of the model was very useful for the entrepreneur who previously lacked the resources for making such calculations. On the basis of the model the entrepreneur can consider widening the company's product range. The theoretical background of the thesis consisted of literature and articles. The theoretical background featured a throughout coverage of activity-based cost accounting, and a slightly more concise coverage of cost accounting. The method used for the calculation model was activity-based cost accounting, which allows one to focus costs on calculation targets according to the matching principle. The activities were specified in co-operation with the client and the available resources were specified on the basis of the activities. The locators used in the model were the amounts of time used for the activities. The activity-based cost accounting model was constructed in Excel, and the entrepreneur was given use of the model. In order for the calculation model to be fully functional the entrepreneur has to further clarify the amounts of time used for different activities, so that more accurate results may be yielded.
