Tiivistelmä
Lastensuojelulliset tilanteet ja niissä toimiminen ovat viime aikoina olleet esillä mediassa. Uutiset eivät ole koskeneet ensihoidossa työskenteleviä viranomaisia, mutta mahdolliset ongelmalliset tilanteet tulisi tunnistaa kaikissa organisaatioissa, jotta tapauksilta voitaisiin välttyä. Tämä koskee myös ensihoitoa. Lastensuojelullisten ja muiden sosiaalisten ongelmatilanteiden tunnistamiseen ja taitojen oppimiseen on koulutuksella oma roolinsa siinä, kuinka työelämään tulevat ammattilaiset osaavat toimia kyseisissä tilanteissa.
Opinnäytetyöni on tuotekehitysprojekti, jonka toteutin yhteistyössä Oulun seudun ammattikorkeakoulun sosiaali- ja terveysalan yksikön kanssa. Projektin tuloksena syntyi ensihoidon koulutusohjelman käyttöön kaksi sosiaalisiin ongelmatilanteisiin liittyvää simulaatioharjoitusta.
Ensimmäinen harjoitus käsittelee perhetilanteessa toimimista ja toinen harjoitus alaikäisen nuoren kohtaamista ja tilanteessa oikein toimimista.
Harjoitusten avulla opiskelijoilla on mahdollista saada lisää varmuutta toimia ensihoidossa tilanteissa, joissa lapsi on mahdollisesti sosiaalisen ongelmatilanteen vuoksi avun tarpeessa. Harjoituksen myötä opiskelijoilla on mahdollisuus myös oppia tunnistamaan merkkejä tilanteista, joissa on mahdollisesti tarve lastensuojeluilmoituksen tekemiseen. This thesis was done in co-operation with Oulu University of Applied sciences to be used in the Degree Programme in Emergency Nursing. The purpose was to provide paramedic students more information about how to encounter children with social problems in emergency care. I chose the subject because students get only a little instruction on the issue in class.
The objective of the project was to design two child-related social problems as simulation exercises to be used in the Degree Programme in Emergency Nursing.
During the project I made a preparatory seminar which was based on the subject of child-related social problems. Next I made a project plan which determined the project’s progress. Finally, it was time for the product itself, as well as for the design and production of the final report writing. There was no time to test the product because of the strict timetable, so testing the product will be done in the future by the users of the product.
The ultimate outcomes of the project were two simulation exercises for the Degree Programme of Emergency Nursing in Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The first section includes an exercise on how to deal with the family and the second part includes an exercise on how to encounter an adolescent and how to operate correctly.
