Pleura-, nivel- ja askitesnesteiden käsittelyohjeet Oulaskankaan laboratorioon

Abstract

Opinnäytetyömme tarkoituksena oli valmistaa Oulaskankaan sairaalan laboratorioon ohjekansio pleura-, nivel- ja askitesnesteiden käsittelyyn. Oulaskankaan laboratorion kemisti ja osastonhoita-ja antoivat meille kyseisen aiheen, koska Oulaskankaan laboratorioon tulee harvoin kyseisiä näyt-teitä ja niiden käsittelyyn toivottiin tarkkoja ohjeita. Selvitimme heidän pyynnöstään Oulun yliopis-tollisen sairaalan käytänteitä kyseisissä tutkimuksissa ja kyseisten näytteiden käsittelyssä. Tuottamamme ohjekansion tarkoituksena on tuoda enemmän tietoa pleura-, askites- ja nivelnes-tenäytteiden ottamisesta ja näytteen käsittelystä. Ohjekansion on tarkoitus selkeyttää laboratorio-henkilökunnan työskentelyä. Opinnäytetyömme tavoitteena oli tehdä ohjeistuksista selkeät, ym-märrettävät, helposti käytettävät ja johdonmukaiset. Opinnäytetyötä tehdessämme perehdyimme teoriaan pleura-, askites- ja nivelnesteistä, työstim-me sitä oppaisiin käyttäen ohjeistuksiin liittyvää lähdemateriaalia sekä opimme myös itse paljon. Opinnäytetyön lopputuloksena olivat ohjeistukset, jotka tulevat Oulaskankaan laboratorioon työntekijöiden luettaviksi. Teoriatiedon on tarkoitus antaa tietoa heille pleura, askites- ja nivelnäytteistä yleisesti ja taulukoiden avulla selkeyttä nesteiden säilytykseen ja lähetykseen. Laboratorion kemistin on tarkoitus työstää tekemistämme ohjeista viralliset ohjeet laboratorioon.

The object of our final project was to set up a handbook for Oulaskangas Hospital describing the process of testing pleural, synovial and ascitic fluids. The staff from laboratory of Oulaskangas Hospital suggested us this particular subject as their laboratory rarely conducts these analyses. The handbook provides some theoretical information from the analyses. We were also asked to find out of the procedures of these tests implemented in Oulu University Hospital. The goal of this handbook is to provide more information of taking and analyzing the samples of pleural, ascitic and synovial fluids with the aim to shorten the time spent processing these tests by staff. The handbook is easily readable. The chemist will put together official guidelines of the tests based on our handbook to the laboratory of Oulaskangas Hospital. We made our instructions to be easily readable and more clear by providing, amongst all, photos of a sample of pleural and ascitic fluid been obtained. We were unable to get a photo of a sample of synovial fluid been obtained. The technique been used, a space, instruments and the appear-ance of the samples can be seen in our photos.
