With this Master thesis the challenge of using mobile devices as an user interface towards a corporation ERP system and the benefit that may be achieved with the
mobile approach for the enterprise is studied. First, a definition of ERP is given and after that an introduction of a great software development and consultancy company
SAP is walked through. SAP is chosen for an example as an ERP vendor as it is a major player with wide offering of ERP tools and modules for enterprises and also
implementing the ERP mobility interface. A short introduce of mobile devices is given and benefits of using those with ERP systems are introduced. Challenges with the
interface and the dilemma of common practices when introducing new systems between employees and enterprise are studied.For the thesis work the information is searched from the internet and literature is also gathered from the work tasks with heavy industry maintenance personel and SME entrepreneur.
