Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli päivittää Medanets Oy:n käyttäjille tarkoitettu käyttöohje, tehdä käyttäjille Ohje-painikkeita käytössä olevaan PDA-laitteen käyttöliittymään sekä modernisoida käytössä olevaa käyttöliittymää.
Medanets Oy on erikoistunut terveydenhuollon langattomien järjestelmätuotteiden suunnitteluun. Tarkoituksena on, että hoitohenkilökunnan aika vapautuu rutiineista varsinaiseen hoitotyöhön ja hoidon laatu ja potilasturvallisuus paranevat.
Medanets Oy:n käyttöohjeet on tehty eri potilastietojärjestelmille, mutta ne ovat kuitenkin sisällöllisesti samantyyppisiä. Tehtäväksi annettu käyttöohjeen päivittäminen koostui kahdesta kappaleesta, joihin oli jo aikaisemmin tehty ns. pikaoppaat. Ennen tarkempien käyttöohjeiden tekemistä oli kuitenkin perehdyttävä toimintoihin PDA-laitteen ja pikaohjeiden avulla, jotta tarkat ohjeet sai kirjoitettua.
Ohje-painikkeille löytyi tarvetta kahdessa näytössä. Jo olemassa oleva käyttöliittymä ohjasi ja opasti käyttäjiä suhteellisen perusteellisesti. Ohjelma on tehty C#- kielellä, joten oli perehdyttävä tähän ohjelmointikieleen.
PDA-laite on kosketusnäytöllinen, ja sen käyttöliittymän modernisoinnilla haetaan nykyaikaisuutta vertaamalla laitetta kosketusnäyttöpuhelimiin. Tässä työssä tehdään vasta suunnitelma, käyttöliittymän modernisoinnin toteutus ei kuulu työhön. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis was to update the the instructions intended for the users of Medanets Oy, to make help buttons on the users’ PDA interfaces, as well as to modernise the existing user interface.
Medanets Oy is specialised in designing wireless systems for health care. The goal is to release nursing staff from routines to actual nursing so the quality of care and patient safety can be improved.
Medanets Oy’s instructions have been made for different medical information systems but are substantially of the same type. The task of updating the manual consisted of two chapters which already had quick reference guides compiled for them. Before compiling any more precise instructions the author of the thesis had to become famillar with the functions of the PDA.
Help buttons were needed in two screens. The already existing user interface directed and guided the users fairly thoroughly. The program has been made in C# language. Consequently, this programming language had to be studied carefully.
The PDA has a touch screen and the renewal of its user interface aims at making it modern by comparing the device to the touch screen phones. The study focuses on designing the modernisation of the user interface but does not include its implementation.
