Tiivistelmä
Tein opinnäytetyönäni visuaalisen oppimateriaalin kuvitetun oppimateriaalin elektrokardiografian, eli EKG:n perusteista. EKG:llä tarkoitetaan tarkoitetaan kansankielellä sydänsähkökäyrää. Sydänsähkökäyrän avulla tutkitaan sydämen sähköistä toimintaa. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli suunnitella ja toteuttaa oppimateriaali Oulun ammattikorkeakoulun hoitoalan opiskelijoiden käyttöön. Kuvitettu oppimateriaali sisältää sydämen rakenteen ja sähköisen toiminnan, sekä EKG:n rekisteröinnin ja tulkinnan perusteet.
Toteutin opinnäytetyöni tuotekehitysprojektina. Tuotteen kehittäminen alkoi omasta tarpeestani tehdä itselleni visuaalista oppimateriaalia. Olen lukihäiriöinen ja oma oppimiseni painottuu visuaalisiin keinoihin muistaa ja sisäistää tietoa. Koulun käyttämät materiaalit EKG:n opetuksessa olivat vaihtelevan tasoisia, joten halusin suunnitella uudenlaisen materiaalin hoitoalan-opiskelijoiden käyttöön.
Tuotteen tavoitteena on olla selkeä ja yksinkertainen pohja EKG:n opintoihin ja täydentää jo olemassa olevia luento- ja opetusmateriaaleja. Jokaisen ensihoitajan ja sairaanhoitajan perustaitoihin kuuluu osata ottaa EKG ja tulkita se.
Visuaalisen oppimistyylin opiskelijat ovat ensisijaisia hyödynsaajia, joiden oppiminen helpottuu visuaalisen oppimateriaalin käytöstä ja ammattitaito kehittyy EKG:n tulkinnassa. Lopullisena hyödyn saajana ovat rytmihäiriöistä tai sydäninfarktista kärsivät potilaat, joita oppimateriaalia käyttäneet hoitoalan opiskelijat tulevaisuudessa kohtaavat. The basic skills in the emergency nursing consists of the EKG recording and interpretation of the results. With the help of the EKG nurses are able to identify problematic arrhythmia in the heart and diagnose a myocardial infraction, which are important factors concerning the patient's treatment. Due this reason it is important that nurses have good basic skills of the EKG recording and interpretation.
The purpose of this bachelor's thesis was to produce an educational material for emergency nursing students who started the process of learning how to record and interpret the EKG.
While designing the visual material, I used many sources to create anatomically correct but simple as possible images to ensure the usefulness of the final product. The material includes the model of the basic anatomy of the heart, coronary arteries, and surface anatomy. The material also teaches the students basic knowledge of how to record the EKG and how the normal EKG is formed. This knowledge is crucial when they start to learn to identify arrhythmia and diagnose evolving myocardial infractions.
The final product is visual educational material for nurses containing the basics of the heart anatomy and cardiac conduction system. It also teaches how the normal EKG forms. The students can use the product independently and teachers may use it for teaching purposes.
In the future it is possible to expand the visual material, adding the recognizing of different types of arrhythmia and myocardial infractions. My product is meant for the students of the School of Health and Social Care of Oulu University of Applied Sciences.
