Master-opiskelijan opas

Abstract

Tämä kehittämistyö tehtiin Oulun ammattikorkeakoulun Liiketalouden yksikön ylemmän AMK -tutkinnon, Yrittäjyyden ja liiketoimintaosaamisen opiskelijoita varten. Oulun ammattikorkeakoululla on käytössä opiskelijan opas perustutkinnon suorittajia varten, mutta ylemmän ammattikorkeakoulututkinnon yrittäjyys ja liiketoimintaosaamisen koulutusohjelman suorittajille ei ole omaa selkeää ja helppolukuista opiskelijan opasta käytössä ja ylemmän ammattikorkeakoulun opiskelijat poimivat tietoa eri lähteistä. Opiskelijanoppaan tarve tuli hyvin esille palautekeskusteluissa ja kerätyistä palautteista laadituissa yhteenvedoissa. Kehittämistyön tavoitteena oli kerätä ylemmän ammattikorkeakoulututkinnon suorittajalle mahdollisimman paljon tietoa yhteen oppaaseen. Kehittämistyöhön haastateltiin ylemmän ammattikorkeakoulun opiskelijoita henkilökohtaisesti ja havainnoitiin kuuntelemalle keskusteluja. Palautekeskusteluista oli käytettävissä muistioita, jotka antoivat selkeän tiedon oppaan tarpeellisuudesta. Lisäksi kehittämistyössä tarkasteltiin käyttäjätiedon hankinnan teoriaa, sekä konstruktiivista tutkimusmenetelmää. Tämä kehittämistyö on konstruktiivista tutkimusmenetelmää hyödyntävä ja käyttäjätiedolla hankittua tietoa käsittelevä työ. Haastatteluilla ja havainnoinnilla kerättiin tietoa ylemmän ammattikorkeakoulun opiskelijoiden oppaan tarpeellisuutta ja mitä tietoa oppaassa olisi hyvä käsitellä. Työhön haastateltiin myös tutkintovastaavaa ja tutoria sekä opintotoimiston henkilöstöä. Haastatteluista ja keskusteluista saadun tiedon pohjalta liitteeksi rakennettiin opiskelijan opas Yrittäjyyden ja liiketoimintaosaamisen suuntautumisvaihtoehdon opiskelijoille. Tässä kehittämistyössä esitettiin opiskelijan oppaan tarpeellisuus ja se kuinka tietoa voidaan hyödyntää oppaan kirjoittamisessa. Työn tuloksena saatiin valmis opiskelijan opas, jonka päivittämisen helppouteen kirjoitusvaiheessa kiinnitettiin erityistä huomiota. Oppaaseen saatiin kaikki se tieto, jota opiskelijat kaipaavat suorittaessaan ja suunnitellessaan opintoja ja aikatauluja opintojen suorittamiseen. Laadittua opiskelijan opasta tulisi päivittää säännöllisesti, jolloin siitä on hyötyä opiskelijoille.

This Student’s Guide was developed for the students of the higher polytechnic degree, the Master of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences. The Oulu University of Applied Sciences has a Student's Guide for basic degrees but there is no one coherent, readable and specific guide for the Entrepreneurship students and those students that are aiming for the higher degrees. Also, the lack of such guide causes the higher degree students pick information from separate, scattered sources. The need for the new Student Guide came strongly up in the feedback discussions and the summaries that had been drawn up from the collected feedback. The objective of this development project was to gather as much information as possible to that one guide of the students of the higher polytechnic degree. The students of the higher polytechnic degree were personally interviewed and further observed during discussions. Memorandums were written from the feedback discussions and that information gave clear need for the new guide. Furthermore, the theory of the acquisition of the user data and the constructive research method were examined in this project. This study/project uses constructive research method and deals with the information acquired with the user data. The interviews and observation gave data about what would be good and necessary information for the new guide. The teacher in charge of degrees, the tutor and the staff of the student affairs office also were interviewed to the work. Based on the information that was received from the interviews and discussions the Student's Guide was constructed as an appendix for the students of the sub-programme of Master of Business Administration. This study/project presents the necessity for the Student's Guide and how information can be utilised in the writing of the guide. A ready product was a new Student's Guide. At its writing stage special attention was paid to that it should be easy to update in the future. All that information which the students wish to have when completing and planning studies and schedules was collected in the guide. The new Student's Guide should be updated regularly for the students to gain the biggest advantage from it.
