Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyöni tarkoituksena oli selvittää rikostutkinnan päivittäisjohtamisessa esille nousevia haasteita Oulun poliisilaitoksen rikostutkintasektorin päivittäisrikostutkinnassa. Suomen poliisin johtamista on tutkittu varsin vähän ja tutkimus on rajoittunut pääasiassa erilaisiin opinnäytetöihin. Tutkimus toteutettiin kvalitatiivisena eli laadullisena tutkimuksena ja tietoa kerättiin kirjallisista lähteistä sekä teemahaastatteluilla. Minulla on työkokemusta poliisihallinnosta noin 14 vuoden ajalta, joten pystyin hyödyntämään työssäni myös omia kokemuksiani esimiehenä ja työntekijänä.
Tutkimustuloksista voidaan todeta, että Suomen poliisissa osataan johtaa asioita ja erityistilanteita, mutta ihmistenjohtamisessa on ongelmia. Nämä ongelmat on organisaatiossa kuitenkin tunnistettu ja johtamista on tarkoitus tältä osin kehittää. Tutkimuksessa selvisi lisäksi, että päivittäisjohtamisessa koetut haasteet vaihtelevat riippuen millä tasolla organisaatiossa ihminen työskentelee. The purpose of this thesis was to find out the challenges in the daily management faces in crime investigation. Another aim is to find out how to improve the management in crime investigation of the Finnish police. The target of the study was Oulu Police Department crime investigation sector. The aim of this research is to develop crime investigation management in Oulu Police Department.
The research method was qualitative and it was carried out as theme interviews. The research material was collected from the field in form of interviews and author’s own experiences. The target group was workers and lower level management.
The results showed that there were things that could be do better in the management of crime investigation. According to the interviews and the author’s own experiences there is much to do in the daily management in order for the employees to be satisfied with the management. Even so, based on the results many things were good in police management in Finland.
Tutkimustuloksista voidaan todeta, että Suomen poliisissa osataan johtaa asioita ja erityistilanteita, mutta ihmistenjohtamisessa on ongelmia. Nämä ongelmat on organisaatiossa kuitenkin tunnistettu ja johtamista on tarkoitus tältä osin kehittää. Tutkimuksessa selvisi lisäksi, että päivittäisjohtamisessa koetut haasteet vaihtelevat riippuen millä tasolla organisaatiossa ihminen työskentelee.
