The purpose of this study is to set up general comparison standards for SMEs to compare sever-al typical open source ERP products based on the theoretical standards. Finally provide refer-ences for SMEs of how to distinct each open source ERP product in order to successfully select the most appropriate one.
The research will first from the theoretical background to analyse the comparison standards. The practical part will start from the analysis and introduction of several popular open source ERP software products in the current market, and an empirical study will be conducted through testing each of them to make comparison. In addition, the ERP system selecting story of the case company will be analysed to give ideas of how to compare and select the appropriate ERP system for SMEs.
