The thesis describes neurodiversity, solution-focused and neurodiversity-based paradigm in scope of neuropsychiatric coaching, and, then investigate what one-person entrepreneurship in the social sector is. The developmental target of the thesis is to produce a preliminary business plan for a business that provides solution-focused and neurodiversity-based neuropsychiatric coaching for youth and adults.
In the theory part, the thesis dives into the field of neuropsychiatric coaching in Finland. It then considers the approaches that recognize and celebrate the diversity of human neurocognitive functioning, individual resourcefulness and ability to be resilient and thrive, such as solution-focused approach and neurodiversity. After that, the thesis describes the process of being an entrepreneur as a Bachelor of Social Services in Finland. In particular, it considers what being a sole trader is.
As this thesis is a developmental-based thesis, the implementation part follows, that depicts the process of creating the final product, a business plan for solution-focused and neurodiversity-based neuropsychiatric coaching business.
The challenges related to the confidentiality have been overcome and business plan is created in a way that will serve as an actual basis for future business. Therefore, the final result of the thesis, the business plan and findings of the feasibility of the business are confidential. However, the process of creating the plan has been described in detail, and the thesis could be used by others interested in founding a company as a basis for their own business plan process.
