Abstract

Idea syntyi tähän opinnäytetyöhön tekijän henkilökohtaisesta kokemuksesta. Opinnäytetyöntekijä vastaa työnsä puolesta tämän projektin tuotoksena syntyneen viestinvälitysjärjestelmän teknises-tä alustasta. Tekninen alusta koostui erilaisista palvelimista, tietoliikenneverkoista, sekä niihin kuuluvista lukuisista verkkolaitteista. Miten projektityöskentelyn kautta voidaan vaikuttaa tehtäviin järjestelmiin, jotta saataisiin mahdollisimman valmiita kokonaisuuksia aikaan. Opinnäytetyön tekijä oli seurannut vierestä itse projektia ja sen etenemistä. Opinnäytetyössä pyritään kartoittamaan projektin läpivienti, sekä myös mitkä osa-alueet olivat onnistuneet suunnitelman mukaan ja mitkä eivät. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantaja on Suomessa toimivan IT-palveluntarjoaja.

Terveydenhuollon siirtyessä koko ajan yhä enemmän käyttämään tietoteknisiä ratkaisuja, ja niihin liittyvät projektit tulisi pystyä suorittamaan entistä tehokkaammin ja nopeammin. Työtä tehtäessä pyrittiin etsimään tapoja, toimintamalleja, sekä keinoja tehokkaampaan projektityöskentelyyn terveydenhuollon tietotekniikan projekteissa.

Opinnäytetyö jakautuu kahteen osaan, joista ensimmäisessä käsitellään tutkimuksen toteuttamis-ta, sekä projektitoimintaa. Teoriaosassa käydään myös itse tutkimuksen toteutustapaa, laadullista tutkimusta, sekä sen teoriaa. Projekti osuudessa käydään läpi projektitoiminnan perusteita.

Opinnäytetyön toinen osa käsittelee haastattelujen perusteella esille nousseita ongelmia ja onnis-tumisia kyseiseen projektiin liittyen, sekä haastateltujen oman näkemyksen sen kulusta ja loppu-tuloksesta.

Opinnäytetyön empiiristä aineistoa varten on haastateltu kolmea eri henkilöä projektiin liittyen. Heillä jokaisella on merkittävä rooli kyseisen viestinvälitysjärjestelmän käyttöönottoprojektissa, kuten myös tuotannonaikaisessa käytössä.

The topic of the thesis was originated by author's own personal experience, which is responsible person on behalf of its work of this project generated messaging system technical platform. The technical platform consists of a variety of servers, communication networks and also several telecommunications components. How does the project work can be influenced by the outcome in order to obtain more complete solutions? The author himself had followed beside the project and how it was progressed. Purpose of this study aims to identify how the project was implemented, as well as which areas was succeed according to the project plan and which were not. The thesis was commissioned by Finnish IT service provider.

Health care start use all the time more and more of information technology solutions, and related projects should be able to run more efficiently and more quickly. Purpose of this work was to find ways, approaches, and methods for more efficient project work in healthcare informatics projects.

The thesis is divided into two parts, in the first part are focused how the study was done and also project working. In the theory part are focused to way, how the study was implemented, qualita-tive survey, and its theory part. In the project section are more focused to project work basics.

The second part of the thesis is focused to the findings, based on the interviews to the present project. As well as their own personal view, on the progress and outcome of the project.

For empirical information of this thesis is based on the interviews of three different persons on the project. Each of these persons has an important role in the implementation project of messaging system, as well in the production time operation.
