Tiivistelmä
The aim of the Friskie EU -project is to develop new pedagogical solutions for the vocational schools - an early intervention social skills training programme. It is targeted for young people who are not able to take advantage of existing training and are at risk of not completing their vocational education. These young people often lack social skills and have a lack of experience in interaction with other people in working life, with employers and work mates.
The Friskie partners develop group activities and individual guidance to facilitate social skills learning in non-traditional learning environments e.g. in alternative studies, work places, voluntary work, workshops etc. This social pedagogical way of working with pupils will be gathered into Friskie Programme, which consist of three elements: workbook, handbook and pupil's portfolio.
From education to work - report from Friskie EU -project describes the background and context of the Friskie EU -project. The partners have described the project´s educational environment and the young people's access to the labour market in their countries. It is aimed for teachers, educators and a whole range of multi-professional workers who share the concern about under achieving groups in vocational schools.
