Practice of lean entrepreneurship principles by business incubators in Turku

Abstract

Lean practice and principles of Lean Manufacturing have been initiated, developed and spread by both academic researchers and industry experts for nearly 60 years. However, lean entrepreneurship principles are academically defined and there may exist a gap between those and the current practice by business incubators. How do business incubators integrate the Lean entrepreneurship principles to facilitate new product and service development among startups? In this study, the author investigates the level of understanding and practice of the principles among the business incubators of the City of Turku, Finland.
