The purpose of this study is to describe and analyse the basic information and knowledge of business plan and make a new business plan based on these theories.
Specifically, this study investigates four questions:
• How to write a successful business plan?
• What elements does a business plan have?
• How cosmetics market looks like today in China?
• How to develop a good way to promotion cosmetics?
This study investigates these questions through some solid literature research. In the theory part, it presents how to construct a business model, what kinds of elements does it include, and the relationship between each other. After that, it gives information about the indispensable factors in a business plan, such as products and services, industry and market analysis, marketing plan, operations plan, development plan, management plan, and financial plan. And how does these factors look like, how to implement these elements in a real business.
In the chapter 3, it illustrates Chinese retail value and its annual growth rate between 2011 and 2013. And it also shows the future estimates from 2014 to 2017. The figure of this part should be close to recent year. But it is not necessary to search the specific data of these values. It can be done in later research. In this chapter, it also shows the skincare sales between men and women. It is true that women have a stronger expenditure than men. Thus, Dreamy look will main aim at female users.
To develop a good way to promotion cosmetics, the most important part is getting a better know of Chinese cosmetic market. In this thesis, it main describe a website which promoting cosmetics by creating videos. So, in chapter 4, it analyses the direct competitors (Jumei and Lefeng) which are sold cosmetics and indirect competitors (Weibo and Youku) which are served different kinds of videos. Through preliminary investigation, it is easier to make a new business. Chapter 5 and 6 develop a complete business plan through the research above.
