The study shows that Information technology has been a tool for development in Lagos State University. It has helped in efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery in the organization. However, the epileptic power supply in the institution has limited the power and scope of information technology in the institution.
All government parastatals, ministries and institutions, and corporate bodies are thereby advised to take advantages and opportunities provided by modern Information Technology and try as much as possible to computerize their operations. It is also necessary for Lagos State University (LASU) to back up their services with the use of modern IT software. There should be more focus on the introduction of advanced studies in the area of professional Information Technology courses and on Information Technology development to get solutions to problems facing the institution and the society at large.
