The purpose of the thesis was to explore the integration of transportation management systems (TMS) in e- commerce businesses to enhance supply chain management and improve operational efficiency.
The aim of this study includes three main aspects. Firstly, to investigate the impact of transportation management systems (TMS) on e-commerce supply chain management. Secondly, to identify the benefits and challenges associated with implementing TMS in online businesses. Lastly, to explore how e-commerce enterprises can utilize TMS to improve their supply chain practices and remain competitive in the market.
A qualitative research method was used to achieve the study objective, with Amazon as the subject of the case study. Data analyzed from documents and scientific papers to support the thesis.
After conducting the research, it became clear that integrating transportation management systems (TMS) into e-commerce supply chain management is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and market competitiveness.
