Tiivistelmä
This thesis investigates factors influencing job satisfaction among bank employees, with a specific focus on IFIC Bank in Bangladesh. Job satisfaction plays a crucial role in determining an employee's mental and emotional well-being, impacting not only their performance but also their overall quality of life. The study seeks to identify key drivers and barriers to employee satisfaction, ultimately providing valuable insights for the bank to implement targeted interventions and strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.
A mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Quantitative data was collected through surveys administered to a random sample of IFIC Bank employees. The survey focused on job satisfaction, work environment, and compensation. Qualitative data was gathered through interviews with employees from various departments within the bank.
The study identified training and development opportunities, recognition and rewards, company culture, compensation, and promotion prospects as key factors influencing job satisfaction among IFIC Bank employees. Employees expressed satisfaction with the bank's efforts in these areas, particularly the supportive work environment and focus on employee development.
The findings of this study offer valuable insights for IFIC Bank and other banking institutions, highlighting the importance of fostering a positive work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and job satisfaction. By implementing targeted strategies to address identified gaps, banks can create a more engaged and productive workforce, ultimately enhancing their overall success.
