The pharmaceutical industry in Bangladesh is a critical sector contributing to healthcare access and economic growth. I tried to delve into the industry's current landscape, focusing on the prospects and challenges faced by Cosmic Pharma Ltd., a key player in the market. This thesis examines the prospects and challenges within the Bangladesh pharmaceutical industry with a specific focus on Cosmic Pharma Ltd. It provides an in-depth analysis of the sector's current landscape, operational hurdles, and growth opportunities. The study employs a qualitative research method to explore the multifaceted dimensions of the pharmaceutical industry’s regulatory environment, technological advancements, market dynamics, and sustainability practices. The aim of the thesis is to identify strategic initiatives and provide recommendations for Cosmic Pharma Ltd. to improve their market presence and competitiveness both locally and internationally. The purpose is to analyze the current state of the pharmaceutical industry globally, assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and evaluate the competitive position and growth potential of the pharmaceutical industry in Bangladesh within the global context. The research is grounded in qualitative analysis, anchored in semi-structured interviews with executives from Cosmic Pharma Ltd. and other industry professionals. This approach offers insights into strategic decision-making, innovation efforts, and responses to regulatory changes. Key Findings are as follows,  Regulatory Reforms: The study highlights the critical need for regulatory reforms to address quality control and the proliferation of counterfeit medicines.  Technological Advancements: It emphasizes the importance of investing in digitalization and automation to enhance production efficiency and quality.  Sustainable Growth: Strategic initiatives focused on sustainability practices are vital for the industry's long-term advancement.  Market Dynamics: The research underscores the complex market dynamics, including competition from international firms and the necessity for innovation in drug development. The findings reveal significant opportunities for Cosmic Pharma Ltd. and other domestic firms to improve their market presence through strategic investment in technology, regulatory compliance, and sustainability. The study also provides recommendations to industry leaders and policymakers on fostering stronger growth and enhancing competitiveness.
