Tiivistelmä
The aim of this thesis was to update and expand an existing cost categorization tool for monitoring financial data on a project level and implement a feature for displaying aggregated costs for all existing projects within a customer’s environment.
This thesis was commissioned by Alma Mediapartners Oy which is the owner of Talosofta. Talosofta is an Enterprise resource planning software, or ERP for short, designed for the use of companies specialising in the construction, renovation and building maintenance technology.
The implementation was divided into five individual tasks which are deployed individually onto the production environment. The main features of these tasks included a bugfix for displayed travel expenses, adding new types of financial information on the cost categorization display, implementing a feature to assign cost categories for sales invoices, filtering empty cost categories from the cost categorization display as well as Excel and PDF printouts, adding an event break-down to the Excel printout and implementing a new view to display aggregated costs of every project within the environment.
The result was a collection of improvements that allow the user to track their financial data within a project more accurately and export more of the data contained in each project.
